Greenfield Family Care 'Hamper Appeal'
English Cloth took the day off to help out a very worthy charity.
Yesterday was a day of giving back to the wonderful town of Huddersfield.
Greenfield's Family Centre sent out a 'Hamper Appeal' to the local community and received an abundant amount of various food and gifts. These were then organised into hampers and distributed by volunteers to unsuspecting households and vulnerable people who had been referred by the charity. A lovely and weclomed surprise just before Christmas.
English Cloth were invited to help out by a close friend, Adam Purcell of D.P. Dyers, and we were delighted to lend a hand. The Purcell family were outstanding throughout the day and the families that received the hampers were extremely grateful for the gesture.
Over the course of the day, a total of 110 hampers were delivered to famlies and vulnerable people across Dalton, Skelmanthorpe, Kirkheaton and Bradley to name a few.
It just goes to show how much easier and enjoyable things can be when a community plugs together. Thanks again to Greenfield Dalton and the Purcell family for allowing us to be part of the day.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
